Things To See in Rotterdam

It is one of the most famous city’s in The Netherlands. One of the things that Rotterdam is very known of is the harbour. But what else is there to see there?

Erasmusbrug

This 2631 ft bridge connecting the north and the south of the city perfectly illustrates the urban atmosphere of Rotterdam. It is nice for walks and has a good locarion in the centre of the city.

Euromast 

This observation tower is one of the city’s monuments, built in 1960. But around the area there is a very cozy and peaceful parc, which I absolutely recommend.

Restaurants

A restaurant I recommend is A-Kong. It is a Chinese-Surinamese restaurant, only 15 minutes walking from the Central Station. 

For other restaurants, you can go to Markthal. It is a big building with a market hall inside. You can eat Greek, Japanese, Italian and many other restaurants inside there.

Ahoy

Ahoy is one of The Netherlands’ finest arena’s. Lots of events and concerts are held there. But my favourite event that on occasion is held in Ahoy is the Boekenfestijn. It is a Trade Fair for many different and interesting books.

Cube Houses 

Another unique thing of Rotterdam are the houses built in cube form. They look special and are 1100 sq ft long.

In short: Rotterdam is one of the pumping hearts of The Netherlands. Nice for a day-trip.
